Local students attend the excellent schools of Henrico County Public Schools which consists of 9 high schools, 12 middle schools, 46 elementary schools, and 3 technical centers. Holman Middle School and Glen Allen High School are the district's two newest schools. Students who are ready to pursue a degree in higher education have several nearby colleges and universities to choose from, including Virginia Union University, Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Richmond, and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College (all in Richmond); John Tyler Community College in Chester; Virginia State University in Petersburg; and College of William and Mary in Williamsburg.
